Products and Services

Operates a sophisticated network of 22 pharmaceutical and 42 medical/surgical supply distribution facilities, strategically located throughout the United States to provide cost-effective, product delivery to more than 60,000 health care sites across North America each day.

Manufactures more than four million medical/surgical products each day – including surgical drapes, masks, gowns and gloves, fluid management products and surgical and procedure kits. Products manufactured by Cardinal Health are used in half of all surgeries in the United States.

• Retail Pharmacies

  Helps national and regional retail chain pharmacies and mail order pharmacies improve the efficiency of pharmaceutical distribution. Also operates Medicine Shoppe International and Medicap Pharmacies, leading franchisors of retail, apothecary-style pharmacies in the United States and abroad.

• Hospitals and Health Systems

  Consulting services help hospitals contain costs and improve workflow, efficiency and the internal management of pharmaceuticals and med/surg supplies. Key services include surgical kit development, freight management, internal supply chain optimization, instrument management, category management, on-site and remote pharmacy management.

• Nuclear Pharmacies

  Operates largest network of nuclear pharmacies in the United States, delivering 14 million doses of radiopharmaceuticals every year, to help hospitals and outpatient care centers detect and treat disease. Also serves the PET market with manufacturing of PET agents used in diagnostics, therapies and clinical trial studies.
