CardinalASSIST® is an automated logistical process to replenish drugs in efficient units of measure directly to the pharmacy for Pyxis® MedStations®.CardinalASSIST improves pharmacy logistics by redesigning the medication distribution process. It increases pharmacy efficiency, contains costs and focuses on patient safety.
This medication logistics solution features a powerful interface which automatically creates orders for each Pyxis® MedStation within a facility and downloads these orders to cardinal.com Ordering. These orders are automatically sent to the servicing Cardinal Health Distribution Center where they are filled and shipped to your facility in Pyxis® MedStation-specific totes.
Orders are packaged in commonly used unit dose medications in FDA approved efficient unit of measure packaging in counts of five or ten. Each package includes NDC, lot number and expiration date in a bar code format, which automates the receiving process and captures vital information used to track the product through your hospital.
